Parker Ridge Kennels
Welcome and thank you for visiting Parker Ridge Kennels. We are a small family run kennel located just outside of Washington D.C. We raise AKC registered Parson Russell Terriers.
We have been breeding AKC registered stock since 2002. All of our Parson Russells are carefully screened. All breeding stock is BAER tested hearing normal and CERF tested clear. All of our dogs are on record with OFA (Orthopedic Foundation For Animals) for their BAER testing. A copy of this is available upon request. Our #1 priority is breeding great tempermant, as well as sound minds and bodies. All of our dogs are members in our family first.
All of our terriers exhibit strong natural hunting instincts which are strongly encouraged. They all enjoy the thrill of the hunt, but clean up easily for curling up on the couch and the show ring. Our terriers are very loving and loyal as well as very intelligent. Several have completed basic obedience classes with ease. Our terriers range in height from 12 to 14 inches tall at the shoulder, our average is in the middle at 13 inches. We breed and raise the smooth and rough coated variety.
Pedigree is very important, everyone should know where your dog comes from. We have worked long and hard on researching the pedigrees of our dogs. We are able to go back eight generations on most of them. Our lines all go back to English and Belgium imports. Extended peidgrees are available upon request, we have the standard 3 generation pedigrees posted. Many of the ancestors in our pedigrees hold J-NHC titles in Red & Grey fox and Ground Hog, as well as Earthdog Certificates, English & American Championships, and a BOB winner at the Crufts dog show. We have solid, well-balanced old fashioned Parson Terrier lines.
